Location: On Field Department: Procurement / Supply Chain Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Assistant to support the procurement activities for agricultural produce and agri-related products. The ideal candidate will assist in vendor coordination, purchase planning, documentation, and ensuring timely delivery of quality materials at the best price. Key Responsibilities • Assist in sourcing and purchasing agricultural produce fruits and vegetables. • Maintain records of purchase orders, bills, invoices, and receipts. • Support vendor identification, evaluation, and development. • Follow up with suppliers for timely deliveries and resolve supply-related issues. • Coordinate with quality control team to ensure standards are met before purchase acceptance.. • Assist in negotiating prices, delivery terms, and contracts. • Maintain databases of approved vendors and seasonal availability. • Prepare daily and weekly purchase reports for internal use. Key Skills & Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Supply Chain, or related field. • 1–3 years of experience in agri purchasing or field procurement preferred. • Basic understanding of agri commodities, seasonal availability, and market rates. • Good communication and negotiation skills. • Willingness to travel to markets, mandis, farms, or vendor sites as needed. • Ability to multitask and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Attributes • Experience working with farmers, FPOs, or agri vendors. • Knowledge of government schemes or agri market trends.
